GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

The Good Faith Estimate is part of an Act that recently went into effect in the United States. Its goal is to ensure clients of health care practitioners accurately understand costs in advance of receiving treatment. While the Good Faith Estimate clearly affects the mental health field, there is disagreement as to how it should be implemented due to provisions of the Act not following best practices for mental health care.
